In Memory of Amos Michael Nelson
September 25, 1977 - July 22, 2006


Captain Amos Nelson passed away Friday, July 22nd, 2006 at the age of 28 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.  Amos was an active duty Military Police officer in the US Army with 11 years of service.

He was a proud and active member of the American Legion Riders Chapter 7 and the American Legion Post 663 in Urbandale.  His hobbies included riding his Harley's, defending his country and loving his wife.

Amos is survived by his loving wife, Mandy; his son, Tyler; parents Dave and Ann Nelson and Doyle and Lorraine Uitermark; sister, Tara; half-brother, Jacob; half-sister, Samantha; step-sister, Meggan Reynolds; grandparents, Daryl and Maxine Thomason and Iva Nelson; along with many friends and relatives.

Amos took with him an unwavering love for his wife, family and country.  He will be missed forever by everyone whose life he touched.





In Memory of Cledith R. Bright
December 18, 1937 - March 28, 2009


Cledith R. Bright, 71, was accepted back into God's arms Saturday March 28th at Mountain Home Arkansas.  Born December 18th, 1937 in Leon, Iowa to Forest G. and Jettie I. Bright.

On July 6th 1963 he married the love of his life, Dixie Lee Parsons, whom he shared all of lifes adventures with.

Cledith has 2 sons, Kyle (wife Michelle) Bright and Kale (wife Michelle) Bright.  Seven grandchildren, MiKgyla, Mackenzie, Logan, Michael, Zachary, Jahni and Madison, who truely felt their Grandpa's love.

Preceding Cledith in death were his parents and two sisters, Karen and Shirley.

Cledith was a Vietnam war veteran in the US Navy and served in the Army Reserves.  He later retired from the Des moines Register after 30 plus years of faithful service as a sales representative.

Cledith helped many people in the community and those serving over seas as a member of the Urbandale
American Legion.  He was a proud and active member of the American Legion Riders Post 663, Urbandale.  He was an outdoorsman, enjoying camping, riding motorcycles with his wife Dixie, and spending time with family and friends.
